We’re back in Road Safety Week 2019 with The Big Push for Road Safety!
Come and join us for a slow roll around the Brisbane CBD as we call on Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government to build protected bikelanes, connected networks, and slower suburban streets so that it’s safe, comfortable and convenient for people of all ages an abilities to ride a bike in Brisbane.
Sunday 1 September 2019, Kurilpa Point Park
Gather from 10am, ready for a 10:30 departure. We’ll ride past the Brisbane sign, across the Victoria Bridge, and make stops at Parliament House and City Hall before returning to the park.
If you have a “Riding for Safe Streets” t-shirt from 2018, wear that. We will have a limited number of t-shirts to give away to people joining us for the first time, thanks to the generous support of Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.
Maurice Blackburn is Australia’s leading social justice law firm and road safety advocates. Maurice Blackburn specialises in road accident compensation claims.
The Big Push is a family-friendly event but we will be riding (slowly) on roads, so a basic level of cycling proficiency is assumed.
