Friends along the Way – Ride for Carolyn Lister

CarolynListerWe invite you to join us on Saturday 11 July 2020 for a bicycle ride along the route Carolyn Lister used to take to her workplace at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. We’ll start at 10am from Frances Ave, Wooloowin in front of Carolyn and John’s home, and finish in beautiful Bowen Park, just across the road from Carolyn’s destination last Tuesday morning when her life was tragically cut short.

We will celebrate Carolyn’s spirit and call on the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council to do more to ensure people can enjoy cycling safety to work, school, errands, social events and as visitors to Brisbane.

CarolynsRideA Ride of Silence doesn’t seem appropriate for Carolyn – she was someone who would strike up new conversations and friendships on her commute and on her travels. She would want to remind us of the pleasure and social nature of cycling. So the theme of the ride will be “Friends along the Way“.

Everyone is welcome, but of course we ask you to be mindful of health requirements.
