Q10: Please list at least one project or initiative that you will actively support to improve cycling in Brisbane City
– Safer Crossings to our Schools and Public Transport Connections. Schools and public transport should be safe to access. Often they’re not. Bike routes should be more interconnected with each other and to public transport. Often they’re not. Fixing this is both low cost and high impact and makes our streets more pleasant and enjoyable to use.
– Remove parking from the curb lane on key roads to make way for extra road lanes with priority given to bike or bus only lanes. This includes a protected bike way in the CBD.
– Active Lifestyle Centre – Botanic Gardens (storage for 400+ bikes, showers, change rooms, toilets, community room, cafe)
– Encourage the use of Hi-Viz vests with an iconic Brisbane series available at cost price to cyclists and motorcyclists.
Q11: Any other comments you would like to make
It is great to see such a motivated and well organised group engaging with the local government election with actual policies to improve Brisbane.

In regard to question 5 (30km/h on neighbourhood streets): I support this where it makes sense but not all neighbourhood streets will be able to be made 30km/h.
