2024 Brisbane City Council Election: candidates

Brisbane City Council elections will be taking place on 16 March 2024. Brisbane residents have the opportunity to vote for a councillor to represent their local ward, and also to vote for who will be Brisbane’s Lord Mayor.

We have been working to engage with as many candidates as possible about the opportunities and challenges for residents who would like to have the option to get about by bike. In the weeks before the election we have organised rides, walks, or meetings with 34 candidates across 17 of the city’s 26 wards. You can learn more about them here:
